Thank you for your interest in DAS, Dependable Auto Shippers. DAS was founded in 1954 and had grown to become the leader in vehicle relocation.

DAS is an over-the-road, 48 state, auto transporter. We are looking for Professional OTR driver that we can train to become Professional auto transporters. We are primarily a team operation but because our business has grown at such a fantastic rate we are opening up some solo runs. The drivers assigned to those solo runs will be determined by their experience, their professionalism and by our needs.

DAS headquarters is based in Dallas, TX. We currently have three main hiring terminals for OTR Drivers: Dallas - TX, Oakland - CA, & Chicago - IL. Because we do not allow our drivers to take the trucks home we recommend that you live within a 300 mile radius of one of these three terminals. We also have occasional local positions available in Linden - NJ, Carson - CA, & Delray Beach - FL.

DAS pays based on Hub Odometer miles. In plain talk, you get paid for each and every mile your truck travels. You get paid when you drive, when your partner drives, when the truck is fully loaded, partially loaded and when empty. No short line pay or Household movers guide.

DAS Drivers average 6000 + miles per full workweek for a team and roughly 3500 miles a week for a solo driver. We pay weekly, with direct deposit available. Our average dispatch is 12 to 14 days out with 3 to 5 days off. Some drivers choose to stay out longer but they work that out with their partner and their Fleet Manager.

Last year the average salary of the DAS drivers who were with us the entire year of 2004 was $67,795.00. That was the average salary, not the top salary. Are you an average driver? If you are above average you can earn even more.
